I saw a photo of this go by on Facebook, and realized that I had never actually folded it. It seemed appropriate, given that it’s Halloween!
I wet-folded this one from a big piece of Canson Mi-Teintes paper, cut to the proportions of half an A-series sheet, but the long way. Lots of fun opportunity to shape the face of the bat, and it has giant, wonderful, perfectly batty ears. Tons of fun.
I reviewed the book it’s from – Rikki’s It’s Just a Bit of Paper – for OrigamiUSA’s online magazine, the FOLD, back when it came out in 2014. The article is public if you’d like some more details about it. Lots of interesting stuff, definitely recommended.
This is my eighth fold for World Origami Days 2017. What are you folding?
