In honor of the Day of the Dead (celebrated in Latin America, especially in Mexico) here’s Matthew Green’s “Skull.” It’s got nice depth, great shaping and great details. I folded this one from regular commercial origami paper just under 25 cm (~10 inches) square, which produced a finished piece that’s just about 14 by 11 cm (~5.5 by 4.25 inches).
The instructions are available in video form at Sara Adams’s (fabulous) website, www.happyfolding.com – well worth exploring for the wealth of information and videos she has produced! The direct link is here.
This is my 9th fold for World Origami Days 2016. What are you folding?
P.S. Another great skull and Day of the Dead decorations – should you want to do a Day of the Dead celebration of your own – is at Leyla Torres’s (also fabulous) website, www.origamispirit.com . The direct link to Leyla’s skull instructions is here.
