Why: Origami buddy Seth Friedman is working on an upcoming book of origami animals (“Yay! New cool book in the pipeline!”) and graciously shared a couple of the diagrams with me. The book is aimed at beginner/intermediate folders, so don’t expect any ultra-complex pieces. Rather, these are intended to be satisfying but highly-approachable works – these examples are all from two sheets of paper.

No surprise – I love them! With pieces like this even beginner folders get the opportunity to do some detailed modeling, and the results are really nice. I’m very much looking forward to the book!

(Besides, I’m just a huge fan of Seth’s stuff. Now if we can just get him to do a book of his birds…)
